Our logo, opposite, was designed by a year 3 student from Danes Hill School. The logo competition was one of our very first events and the prize was awarded at our launch event, Oxshott Net Zero Village Day in April 2023

Talks and events

Come and join us for a talk or an event. We constantly update this page so please check back frequently.

Family workshop

join us for a free morning of fun games and activities this half term. We will explore how to live more sustainably using the research and simple framework of Take the JUMP. At the end of the workshop you will have your own family action plan to help you to live more sustainably.

The morning is designed for adults to attend with one or two children as a family group.

There are limited places so please email us to book a place diana@oxshottnetzero.org.uk

Christmas Inspiration

Come along to the Oxshott Community Hub on 16th November  (entrance between 64 and 66 Waverley Road) to get inspiration for a home-made Christmas. There will be lots of ideas for you to copy, instructions, recipes and local residents to talk to for tips and advice on how to make some of the things on offer. Swapping out some of the many things we buy during the festive season for a home-made gift can save you money and help to balance the earth's precious resources.

Next repair cafe

If you haven't visited the Oxshott repair cafe yet, how about putting this date in your diary?

Services

Can we help you?

Free energy survey and advice

Following training with Zero Carbon Guildford, we can survey your property using an infra-red camera to see where it is losing heat. Using specialised software, a report is then produced for your house with recommendations for how to insulate it better. We do not do any work ourselves but we can offer advice, inform you about any grants which you may be eligible for and we even have a limited number of quick giveaways such as draught-proof letterbox covers!

To book a survey contact andrew@oxshottnetzero.org.uk

Workshops

We have workshops for adults and children which we can come and run for your group to see how you could implement Take the JUMP in your setting. Or if you would prefer a talk or something else, just let us know and we'll put it together for you.

Sustainable gardens

We are working together with local groups, such as St Andrew's Church, on a variety of sustainable gardening projects and on supporting local bio-diversity. Come along and get involved.

In May 2025 we will be holding an open gardens day to share ideas about gardening sustainably or for wildlife. If you would like your garden to feature, please get in touch.

We will be running events from time to time to fit with the shifts and will need volunteers to help make these happen. If you would like to be involved with these on an ad hoc basis, please get in touch.
